Honda Malaysia has debuted the facelifted B-segment SUV, the HR-V, which starts from RM115,900 – the same as its predecessor. Similarly, it is still offered in four variants: S, E, V and e:HEV RS.
The facelifted HR-V comes with a redesigned exterior and interior. As for the exterior, it now features a refreshed front grille which gives the SUV a bolder stance compared to its predecessor. It also comes with sharp and angular headlights with active cornering lights and auto-retractable mirrors with turning lights.
At the rear, the SUV features a full LED taillight strip. Finally, the HR-V now comes with 18-inch alloy wheels with a two-tone design as standard across all variants. Additionally, the car also comes in two new colours: Phoenix Orange Pearl and Crystal Black Pearl.
Inside, the interior is enhanced with a redesigned centre console that now comes with a wireless charger. Also, there is the new floating 8-inch display unit, which features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. Other than that, the interior comes with USB-C ports both in the front and rear of the cabin. Also, for the e:HEV RS variant, the seats now come with RS-embossed upholstery.
As for the powertrain, the facelifted HR-V still retains the 1.5 e:HEV powertrain, which comes with three driving setups: EV, Hybrid and Engine. It produces 131PS and 253Nm of torque. As for the other variants, they still maintain the 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine, producing 121PS and 145Nm, and the 1.5L VTEC turbocharged engine with an output of 181PS and 240Nm. The SUV also comes with three drive modes: Econ, Normal and Sport.
The HR-V safety features include a multi-angle rear view camera, hill descent control, walk-away auto lock, four-eye reverse sensor, rear belt and seat sensor. On top of that, it also comes with Honda Sensing safety features and Honda Connect. All of these are available across the four variants.
As mentioned above, the starting price is RM115,900 for the S variant, while the E costs RM130,900. The V comes with a price tag of RM137,900 and the e:HEV RS has a price of RM143,900. Furthermore, the new HR-V is now available for viewing and test drives at all Honda authorised dealerships nationwide.
