If you’re someone who uses the KITS app by KTMB with any regularity, here’s some news that may be of interest to you. The company has rebranded said app, now known with the name KITS Style. This rebranding is “an effort to establis a more efficient, safe, sustainable and competitive transport system that helps improve the people’s quality of life, according to Bernama,
First launched back in August 2020, the app overlaps somewhat with some of the features available in the KTMB Mobile app. But being a superapp, KITS Style does more than just help you get KTM and ETS tickets. You can also use it to book flights and hotels, as well as pay utility bills and renewing vehicle insurance. It also comes with something known as the KTIS AI Journey Planner, which should be self explanatory.
The report cites Transport Minister Anthony Loke as saying during the app’s launch that it also serves as a Mobility-as-a-Service app, with the features mentioned above. He also says that it was developed through a strategic collaboration between KTMB and ManagePay Systems Berhad (MPay) as a dynamic digital platform.
With the rebranding of the app, the two companies are also preparing for the launch of a physical KITS Style Mastercard prepaid card. A virtual version is already available within the app, with a physical version coming in September. You can download the app from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, as well as the Huawei AppGallery.
