The Redmagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro launched in its home market of China last month, but even back then, word on the street was that it will be launched internationally as the Redmagic Astra. Soon, the company’s gaming tablet will be available locally, with available configurations already being priced.
Beyond the name change, the tablet is mostly unchanged from when it was still confined to its home market. Which is to say that the Astra has a 9.06-inch 2,400 x 1,504 OLED 16:10 screen with a 165Hz refresh rate and a peak of 2,000Hz touch sampling rate. On the inside is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite and the 8,200 mAh battery with 80W charging.

The Redmagic Astra comes with a stereo speaker setup with DTS:X Ultra certification, plus a dual x-axis linear motor to add vibrations to your gaming experience. And nothing helps it stand out as a gaming tablet as RGB lighting slapped onto its back. On the software side of things it runs Android 15 with the Redmagic OS 10.5 overlay.
Locally, the Redmagic Astra will be available in the same three configurations as it did in China. You’ll be able to get it in the same 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB and 24GB + 1TB setups, which are priced at RM3,399, RM4,199 and RM5,199 respectively. Availability begins from 8PM on 14 July, via Shopee and Lazada, but get it by 31 July and you’ll get RM400 off all configurations. During this time you’ll also get an 80W charger, a screen protector for the tablet, and a Cyber Gamepad, thrown in for free.
