E-commerce provider Lazada has announced that it is revising its Marketplace Commission Fees for all Marketplace sellers. As a result of this revision, sellers will see an increase in commission rates. The new commission fees will be in effect starting 18 July 2025.
The updated commission rates will apply to all local sellers, with the exception of new sellers who are just starting out on the platform. According to Lazada, new marketplace sellers will be exempted from the commission fee for their first 120 days. This means that the fees will apply starting from the user’s 121st day on Lazada.

Just like the previous rates, the new commission fees are subject to 8% SST and vary depending on the product category. Digital goods, for instance, will incur a 21.5% fee, while fast-moving consumer goods will be charged up to 16%. A more detailed breakdown of the new commission fees is available on Lazada’s Seller Help Center page.
Lazada is also offering new benefits to sellers with the introduction of the updated fees, which include free platform vouchers, enrollment in the LazCoins programme, and free shipping. Additionally, sellers will gain access to AI-powered tools and better delivery options.

It is worth noting that orders placed before 18 July 2025 will be charged according to the old commission rates, even when delivered after the new fees come into effect. The commission fee also only applies to successfully delivered orders, and the charges will be refunded should the customer return the product. The company also notes that it does not charge any platform support fees.
