Alongside the Santa Fe, Hyundai Motor Malaysia has also launched the facelifted Hyundai Tucson, starting at RM143,888. The SUV is available in three trims – Style, Prime, and Prestige – with the hybrid option offered exclusively in the Prestige variant, priced at RM197,888.

The 2025 Hyundai Tucson features a bold design update, beginning with a sleek, angular radiator grille paired with discreet ‘Parametric Jewel’ daytime running lights, now reduced from four to three elements. At the rear, a full-width LED light bar connects the vertical tail lamps, which incorporate triangular ‘Parametric Jewel’ patterns to enhance the SUV’s high-tech appearance.

Inside, the facelifted Tucson receives a significant technology upgrade. The standout feature is the new Panoramic Curved Display, which integrates dual 12.3-inch screens for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. A 6.6-inch touchscreen manages climate controls, while additional enhancements include relocating the gear selector to the steering column, adding a multi-tray cash pad, dual wireless charging, and a fingerprint authentication system for added convenience and security.

As mentioned, there are two powertrain options across the three variants. The hybrid powertrain, available exclusively in the Prestige variant, features a 1.6-litre HEV engine delivering 235 PS and 367 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox that distributes power to all four wheels. It completes the century sprint in 8.4 seconds.

The internal combustion engine (ICE) variants include a 2.0-litre MPi engine for the Style trim, producing 156 PS and 192 Nm, and a 1.6-litre TGDi engine for the Prime and Prestige variants, which outputs 180 PS and 265 Nm. These are paired with a 6-speed automatic and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) respectively.
