Samsung has confirmed that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on 9 July 2025 at 10PM (Malaysia time), live from Brooklyn, New York. The company is teasing “the next evolution of Galaxy AI” alongside new additions to its ever-growing ecosystem, with the event set to be streamed on its official Newsroom, website, and YouTube channel.
As in previous years, the summer Unpacked will focus on the company’s next-generation foldables. Samsung is expected to officially launch the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7, along with the latest Galaxy Watch series. Leaks and teasers suggest that both will feature a thinner body design, while the latter is said to sport a larger external display. The Galaxy Watch8, though adopting a more angular housing, is expected to retain a round display.

Speculation continues around the chipsets powering these new foldables. The Exynos 2500, officially launched yesterday, is rumoured to appear in the Z Flip7 in place of the previously expected Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy (now known as Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Elite). These devices are also likely to be the first Samsung smartphones to ship with One UI 8, based on Android 16.

Beyond the flagship foldables, Samsung may reveal more surprises. There is talk of an Ultra variant of the Fold7, a FE version of the Flip7, and even a potential glimpse of the Galaxy S25 FE ahead of its official launch later this year. There’s also growing anticipation that Samsung might showcase its tri-fold smartphone prototype, and possibly share more details on its Android XR headset, developed in collaboration with Google and slated for release this year.
In conjunction with the event, Samsung Malaysia is offering early sign-up benefits. From now until 9 July at 9:59PM, users can register their interest to receive a RM50 voucher toward pre-orders of any new Galaxy devices unveiled during Unpacked. Those who complete the registration will also be eligible to purchase the Samsung Reservation+ voucher for RM10, which will provide a RM210 voucher code for use during the promotional period.
