If you have been keeping an eye on Perodua’s electric car journey, things just got a lot more interesting. A video recently shared on the Malaysian Electric Vehicle Owners Club Facebook page shows the EMO likely during testing and parked at a charging station in Genting Highlands.
As we reported before, the final prototype of the EMO was revealed during the Malaysia Auto Show (MAS 2025). Now although the car in the video was heavily camouflaged, it showcased much more clearer details on the design of the car.
For an instance, this tester sits much lower and looks far more production-ready. The body is wide with wheels pushed out to the corners, and there’s a small rear window that hints at a sporty, aggressive design.
Moreover, similar to the model shown at the MAS 2025, the tester had a crossover styling with coupe-like vibes with a sloping roofline, a wide and low stance, and flush door handles — the rear ones are ‘hidden’ near the C-pillar, like on the Toyota C-HR. There’s even a chunky spoiler, though it probably won’t make it to production as the latest prototype had a much more sleekier and sharper spoiler.

Inside, the eMO’s cabin looks far more production-ready with notable features including a high centre console, digital instrument cluster, soft-touch materials, and a rotary gear selector. The EV is also expected to offer a 360-degree camera along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. That said, close-up shots of the interior were off-limits during the showcase.
As for the specs, the eMO uses a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery supplied by CATL, with an estimated real-world range of 400 to 410 km. Performance targets include a 0–100 km/h time of six to seven seconds and a top speed of around 165 km/h.
Meanwhile, a recent trademark filing suggests that the EMO may be launched under the name ‘Q-VE’. The EV is expected to debut by the end of the year, with a targeted price of under RM100,000.
