CelcomDigi has quietly upgraded its cheapest unlimited plan, Edisi Biru Prepaid 5G 25. While the “unlimited” internet quota was previously capped at a speed of 1Mbps, users can now get speeds of 3Mbps.
The Prepaid 5G 25 plan, which costs RM25/month, is now packaged with unlimited 3Mbps data, 15GB of high-speed data (100Mbps), 3GB of hotspot usage, and unlimited calls. Unfortunately, the blue and yellow telco has not revised the Fair Usage Policy (FUP) limit of the plan’s unlimited data, which is restricted to 80GB.
Last year, the carrier upgraded its Prepaid 5G 39 plan, doubling the speed of its unlimited data and increasing the high-speed quota and hotspot usage to 65GB and 15GB respectively. However, the upgrade was, and still is, labeled by CelcomDigi as a limited-time offer, meaning the plan will eventually revert to its original offering.
As for its postpaid plans, the company doubled the data cap for several of its Postpaid 5G and Postpaid 5G SE packages back in October. The most affordable Postpaid 5G 40 SE plan offers 80GB of 100Mbps data while the Postpaid 5G 100 plan comes with a whopping 500GB of 300Mbps internet. There are also more expensive postpaid plans that come with “unlimited” data, but they are subjected to an FUP limit that has not been disclosed by the telco.
