UPDATE: Maybank has informed us that the information regarding its upcoming scheduled system maintenance, taken from its website, was erroneous. The maintenance will actually take place between 12AM to 8AM on 13 April.
Maybank has announced a planned system maintenance for its online banking system. The scheduled maintenance will take place this Sunday, during which time several online services will experience a downtime and will be unavailable to users.
The maintenance is scheduled for a five-hour period from 3AM to 8AM on 13 April 2025. Users will not be able to perform any JomPay or interbank GIRO transactions, whether it be through the mobile app, desktop website, or ATM. Its ATMs will also be unable to perform MEPS balance inquiries, MEPS withdrawals, and instant fund transfers during this period.
Moreover, Maybank users will also be unable to use DuitNow services during the maintenance, including transfers, requests, and QR payments. Debit mandates will not be active while for online shopping, the bank’s customers will not be able to perform FPX transactions.
For those who might be affected by the downtime, the bank advices its customers to plan their transactions in advance to avoid any interruptions. It states that the planned system maintenance is conducted periodically in order to continue delivering a smooth online banking experience.
