Samsung is rolling out the One UI 7 update locally next month for flagship devices launched last year. And while most of the biggest changes coming with the update are AI-related, there’s one pretty understated one that’s coming in tow. And it’s the ability to solve CAPTCHAs for you, but with a catch.
SamMobile reports that the One UI 7 update will bring with it a feature called “automatic verification”, which helps you deal with the aforementioned anti-bot measure. In addition to helping you skip them, it will also ensure that none of your personal data is collected in the process.
The catch though is that the feature us not available with every browser you install on your phone once you get access to One UI 7. In fact, it is found specifically in the brand’s own Samsung Internet browser, which is pre-installed in all of its phones anyway. While it may be considered by some to be bloatware, it is actually a pretty good browser in its own right, and one of the simpler ways to browse the internet on the phone with effective ad blocking once you get AdBlock Plus.
To check if you have it, you naturally first need to make sure you’ve been updated to One UI 7 which, to reiterate, is only coming next month, unless you have an S25. Then you head to the hamburger menu of the Samsung internet app and look for Privacy, followed by Smart anti-tracking. The report notes that the new automatic verification option can be found here.
