Insta360 has launched the Flow 2 Pro, a significant upgrade to its smartphone gimbal lineup in every way. On top of arriving with new features, it also boasts an all-new design.
The Insta360 Flow 2 Pro boasts a compact yet sturdier build for increased durability and features a reinforced tripod, offering improved stability for various shooting scenarios. An exterior selfie mirror has been added, catering to content creators who need to frame themselves accurately while vlogging or taking selfies.
One of the standout additions is the Free Tilt Mode, which enables users to angle the gimbal in unconventional ways for creative shots. This feature supports techniques like crane shots, tilt shots, and their combinations, complemented by 360-degree pan tracking for dynamic motion capture.
Naturally, the Flow 2 Pro’s software suite is also upgraded. Building on its predecessor’s integration with Apple DockKit for automatic subject tracking, the new model introduces Active Zoom Tracking. This allows for up to 15x zoom while following a moving subject, ensuring sharp and well-framed shots regardless of distance.
Insta360 has also improved its Deep Track AI technology on the Flow 2 Pro. More specifically, version 4.0 that’s offered on the new gimbal adds new capabilities and quality-of-life enhancements. These updates ensure that shots remain smoothly framed and precise, with the added ability to track multiple people simultaneously.
Additionally, updated connectivity allows users to control the gimbal through an Apple Watch or a secondary smartphone. The Flow 2 Pro is also designed to keep up with extended shooting sessions, offering a battery life of approximately 10 hours per charge.
The Insta360 Flow 2 Pro is available right now via the brand’s official store on Shopee as well as authorised retailers nationwide. It is priced at RM759 on its own or RM899 for the Creator Bundle, which comes with extra add-ons and accessories. Colourways for the gimbal include Summit White and Stone Gray.
