vivo is preparing to launch a new Y-series called the Y28 4G, which is the 4G variant of the Y28 5G that was launched earlier this year. While the phone has not even been unveiled yet, it has already made an appearance on the SIRIM database.

The Y28 was listed on 10 May 2024 with the model number V2352, although it seems that there is still no sign of the 5G model being released here. Despite nothing being officially confirmed by the brand, there have already been several leaks regarding the phone’s specs as its launch nears.

A certification reveals that the entry-level device will be packing a huge 6,000mAh battery with support for 44W charging and it will ship with Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 right out the box.  Moreover, a Geekbench listing suggests that the phone will run on a MediaTek Helio G85 with 8GB of RAM,

On the connectivity side, it might support Wi-Fi 6 alongside Bluetooth and LTE. Nothing is known yet about its camera configuration but for reference, the 5G variant features a 50MP main camera with a depth sensor on the back. It also has a 6.56-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
