Tecno has officially announced a local launch date for the Pova 6. Following the introduction of the Pova 6 Pro, the brand unveiled two more variants of the series last month, but it seems that only the vanilla model will be making its way here.
Announced on its Facebook page, we will be seeing the arrival of the Pova 6 on 9 May 2024, tomorrow. It was originally unveiled with three colourways and two RAM configurations, but we’ll have to wait and see which options will be offered in Malaysia.
As for the specs, the phone features a 6.78-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. Internally, the budget device runs on a MediaTek G99 Ultimate chipset with 256GB of storage and up to 12GB of RAM. For software, it ships with HiOS 14 based on Android 14 with the company’s Dynamic Port feature.
On the imaging front, the Pova 6 sports a 108MP main camera on the back while the front houses a 32MP selfie shooter. Powering the phone is a massive 6,000mAh with support for 70W fast charging. It also comes with a gaming-centric design, an IP53 dust and water resistance rating, and support for Dolby Atmos.
