Yup, sure looks like the previously leaked Avata 2 drone.

DJI has recently announced that it will be holding a product launch next week on 11 April 2024. Based on the short teaser video shared on its official website and social media channels, the device appears to be a new drone, which looks pretty similar to the alleged Avata 2 model that was leaked last month.

As expected, the company did not provide any further details surrounding the upcoming product, apart from hinting that it can do a barrel roll. Such manoeuvres aren’t actually new, as both the DJI FPV and Avata are capable of pulling off the trick. Perhaps the newer model comes with a new feature that allows it to perform a barrel roll at command?

Whether or not the drone in question is actually the previously leaked Avata 2 remains to be seen. That said, its silhouette does closely resemble the design shown in the images provided by leakster Igor Bogdanov (aka @Quadro_News) in more ways than one.

It is possible that DJI may debut the Goggles 3 alongside the new drone as well. To recap, Bogdanov also shared images depicting the company’s latest headset together with the alleged Avata 2 in March, and suggested that it may incorporate some kind of AR features that were previously unavailable on its predecessor.

Whatever the case may be, we will only learn more about DJI’s newest product(s) next Thursday. On that note, the company notes that the event will commence at 9pm local time, like broadcasted live via its website, social media, as well as its official YouTube channel.
