Infinix has officially introduced its newest smartphone, the Smart 8 Pro, into the Malaysian market. Announced last week, the entry-level device offers several interesting features at an extremely affordable price, offering a couple of fun gimmicks for those on a low budget.
The Smart 8 Pro has a 6.6-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 500 nits, and the “Magic Ring”, its own take on Apple’s Dynamic Island feature that offers dynamic visual cues for calls and the phone’s charging status. It runs on a MediaTek Helio G36 chipset paired with a single configuration of 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot for expansion.
On the imaging side, the Smart 8 Pro sports a 50MP primary camera on the back alongside a secondary “AI lens” and a ring flash, while the punch-hole display cutout houses an 8MP front snapper. Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging.
The Smart 8 Pro retails for just RM399 and comes in four colour options. It is available through the brand’s Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop stores as well as authorised retailers, offering free shipping from now until 29 February 2024.
