Last week, drone maker DJI teased that it will be launching a new drone tonight. Considering the tagline “mini to the max” it wasn’t too much of a stretch to think that it would be the DJI Mini 4 Pro that was leaked the week before. Now, said drone has had the drapes officially lifted, with the company also providing details on bundles that will be available locally, as well as their prices.
Confirming what was leaked before, the DJI Mini 4 Pro has a wight that is listed as “under 249g”, and boasts a video transmission range of up to 20km. Mounted in front is the camera with a f/1.7 aperture lens and a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor, which shoots 48MP stills while recording in 4K 60fps with HDR, or 4K 100fps for slow-mo shots. It also comes with what the company calls True Vertical Shooting, for you to upload what you record basically instantly to social media platforms that run on that sort of media orientation.
Flight time of the DJI Mini 4 Pro is rated at 34 minutes, which can be stretched up to 45 minutes with a larger battery called the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus. On the subject of flight, the drone also has features like cruise control, an automatic route function called Waypoint Flight, and the Advanced Return-to-Home feature.
The DJI Mini 4 Pro can be bought in four different bundles. The first, which costs RM3,399, comes with an RC-N2 controller, cables for both USB-C and the Lightning connector, one Intelligent Flight Battery, a pair of propellers with screws, an accompanying screw driver, a gimbal protector, a propeller holder, and a USB-C to USB-C PD cable. The next bundle is effectively the same, but replaces the remote controller with the RC 2 instead, and costs RM4,189.
A third bundle comes with two additional Intelligent Flight Battery, two pairs of propellers, a shoulder bag and a two-way charging hub, in addition to everything else in the second bundle, this costs RM4,599. The last one replaces the three batteries with the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus, with an asking price of RM4,889 as a result. The brand says that these are available starting today via its official stores on Shopee and Lazada today.
