Having seen the vivo Y27 being listed on the SIRIM database earlier in the week, it was a matter of time before the phone became available for purchase. And just before the week is out, we see the phone appearing on the brand’s official online stores on both Lazada and Shopee. That being said, only the 4G model has been listed though.

From both listings, we can see that the 4G model of the vivo Y27 has a lot in common with the 5G model, as you’d expect. We’re looking at a familiar 6.64-inch Full HD+ screen, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage space. The battery in the phone is rated at 5,000mAh, and the cameras are a 50MP + 2MP at the back, with an 8MP shooter in front, sitting in a waterdrop notch. So far so familiar.

But when it comes to differences, the main one here is in the chipset. Rather than the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset that we saw with the 5G version of the vivo Y27, the 4G model comes instead with a Helio G85 chipset instead. As it turns out, that’s not the only difference, as Bluetooth connectivity has also gone from version 5.1 to 5.0. Oddly enough, charging speed is where things got upgraded, surprisingly enough, going from 15W to 44W. There’s also quite the visual change at the back as well, with the camera island notably missing.

With only one configuration to worry about, the vivo Y27 4G also only comes with one price tag, which is RM699. As mentioned, you can find it listed on the brand’s official stores on Lazada and Shopee, with both having their own flavour of promotion for the phone. Though worth noting is that while the former e-commerce platform as said promo lasting from 15 to 25 July, the latter only has it for one day, which is on 15 July.
