vivo has officially confirmed that its upcoming smartphone, the vivo V27, is set to launch locally on 30 March 2023. It is the second entry to the series arriving in Malaysia, with the first being the V27e model that launched earlier this month.

To recap, the V27 line-up in general shares the same design language across all variants, and features a unique Aura Light Portrait lighting system. The latter of which is designed to aid users to take brighter and natural looking photos, especially portrait shots in low-light conditions. It’s also worth mentioning that the vanilla variant features a curved display, while its Emerald Green colour option comes with the V series’ signature colour shifting ability that transforms it into a darker shade when exposed to sunlight.

Specifications-wise, the vivo V27 sports a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display, with 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. Under its hood is a 5G-enabled MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset, with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.

This variant also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner, Android 13 via vivo’s Funtouch 13 interface, a loudspeaker, a USB-C port, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC wireless connectivity. Meanwhile, powering the device is a 4,600 mAh battery with 66 W fast charging via USB-C.

vivo has yet to reveal the pricing for the upcoming smartphone, and would only naturally do so by the time it launches next week. However, the company notes that those interested can now pre-order the vanilla V27 by making a RM 100 deposit via its official online stores on Shopee and Lazada. And for your reference, the starting configuration of 8 GB + 256 GB is offered at US$ 399 (~RM 1,786) for the global release.
