All unifi TV Channels Are Now Available For Free Until 1 January 2023

Meanwhile, unifi #KotakApaNi turns out to be nothing more just a gigantic video display that shows unifi TV promo materials.

All unifi customers are now able to access all premium channels on unifi TV without any extra cost until 1 January 2023. The free access is one of several deals that unifi has announced to celebrate its achievement of hitting the three million subscribers milestone.

Normally, having access to all unifi TV channels comes at a cost of RM60 per month via the Ultimate Pack. Of course, the actual package does feature additional perks including access to several streaming apps including Disney+ Hotstar, beIN SPORTS CONNECT, SPOTV NOW, Lionsgate Play, and BBC Player.

In addition to that, Ultimate Package also comes standard with the unifi Plus Box although those who already have their own Android TV devices or selected Samsung and LG smart TVs are also able to access unifi TV by downloading the app from Google Play or the smart TV’s app section.

During the same time period, unifi is also offering discounts of up to 50% for all movies that are available through unifi TV’s on-demand section. Furthermore, customers can also sign up for a 14-day free trial session for viu, WeTV, and iQiYi streaming apps which usually cost from RM5.90 to RM12.90 per month.

Meanwhile, what happened to the unifi #KotakApaNi teaser that we reported last month? Well, turns out our predictions were totally off as TM did not announce any new 5G-based home wireless service today.

In the end, the “kotak” was actually a reference to the “Box Of Happiness” that unifi has deployed in five separate locations in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang. While we have not seen them in person just yet, the broadband and mobile arm of TM did feature the one in Penang during a Facebook Live session earlier today and it turned out to be just a gigantic video screen that is being used to promote content from unifi TV.

While it may not as bad as the TM’s Bawang outing back in 2018, we still feel slightly underwhelmed by the announcement from unifi today. It is rather a bummer, to say the least.
