Illegear Ionic 14 and 15 Now Come with AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Processor

Illegear recently announced that its Ionic 14 and Ionic 15 laptops can now be obtained with AMD Ryzen 5000 Series processor. Part of the brand’s lightweight offerings, the Ionic series was first introduced into the market back in 2020.

Regardless of the model, customers can choose to equip their Ionic laptop with either AMD Ryzen 5 5500U or Ryzen 7 5700U processor. As opposed to the original models that depend on NVIDIA GeForce MX GPU, the 2022’s Ryzen-based units relies on the integrated Radeon GPU that comes with respective Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 processors.

Equipped with a 14-inch Full HD IPS display, the base unit for the 2022 Ionic 14 has 8GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, 500GB M.2 PCIe NVMe solid state drive, and a price tag of RM3,199. On another hand, the same memory and storage configuration is also applicable for the Ionic 15’s base unit although it does feature a larger 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display and costs RM3,399.

As part of their pre-order campaign which runs until the end of this month, Illegear is offering a free upgrade to 16GB RAM for both models. In addition to that, the company will also switch the original 500GB SSD to a 512GB Samsung PM991 SSD and implement the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut thermal compound.
