Razer Has Some Doraemon-Themed Peripherals Coming Up

Razer has had a few Pokemon collaborations that are exclusive to the Chinese market. It looks like the gaming peripheral brand has also worked on some Doraemon stuff as well. This is in conjuction with the latter’s 50th anniversary. But you’ve guessed it, it will be another China exclusive thing.

A post on Weibo laid out all the peripherals that are getting the Doraemon treatment. But considering that names can be very different when translated, it’s not easy to be sure which exactly are these.

Razer Viper Mini Goliathus Speed Doraemon edition

From the looks of it, we have a Razer Viper Mini as the mouse getting the fancy skin. By far the most difficult to identify is the mousepad which, if our translations are accurate, would appear to be the Goliathus Speed. These two will also come in two different prints.

Razer BlackWidow X Tournament Edition Doraemon

As for the keyboard, it looks to be a BlackWidow X Tournament Edition.  The headset appears to be a Kraken X.

The Doraemon editions of the Razer Viper Mini and the Goliathus Speed mat seem to come in a pair. Whichever print type you prefer, the pair will be priced at RMB349 (~RM213). As for the Doraemon-themed BlackWidow X Tournament Edition, this is priced at RMB649 (~RM395). And then there’s the Kraken X Doraemon edition, which will cost RMB399 (~RM243).

No word on when they’ll be released, but Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan said that they are currently in pre-order. He also urges people to not buy them from scalpers, who are already selling them for five times their asking price. But when you think about it, just about nothing else would incentivise buying from scalpers more than regional exclusives.
