Samsung lifted the hood off its Galaxy Tab S6 a couple of weeks ago, and well ahead of the Galaxy Note 10‘s Unpacked event. Now, thanks to the astute SIRIM database observer, Kevin Ng TK, the tablet was spotted inside SIRIM’s database and has gained certification.
To say that Samsung’s latest tablet is a powerhouse is an understatement. On the surface, the tablet sports a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2450 x 1600. In addition, it also comes with an S-Pen delivers up to 10 hours of continuous use. It also supports wireless charging and can be charged back up from zero to full power in just 10 minutes.
Underneath the hood, the Galaxy Tab S6 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, has between 6GB and 8GB RAM, up to 256GB internal storage, and a pretty massive 7040mAh non-removable battery. Camera-wise, the tablet features dual 13MP wide-angle and 5MP ultra-wide sensors for its main camera, while the selfie camera is a single 8MP sensor.

Other unique features of the Galaxy Tab S6 include an on-screen fingerprint scanner; a first for a Galaxy tablet. Samsung’s DeX mode also makes a return to the tablet, enabling to transform its function from a tablet to something akin to a desktop PC.
The Galaxy Tab S6’s appearance on the database isn’t as surprising, especially since there’s still a market for Android tablets around this side of the world. We’ve reached out to Samsung Malaysia for an exact launch date, but as these things usually go, the representative wasn’t able to provide one. Meaning that we’ll just have to wait a while until an official announcement is made.
