You Can Officially Purchase Xiaomi Products Directly From China Very Soon

While Xiaomi has been offering its products in Malaysia since 2014 starting with Mi 3, the amount of Xiaomi products that are officially available in our market are actually quite small compared to what the company has back in China. Despite that, plenty of China-only Xiaomi products have made their way to Malaysia via parallel importers who are more than willing to fulfil the demands from consumers.

However, that could change soon with the creation of Xiaomi Official Store Global at Shopee by Xiaomi Malaysia. Through this store, customers will be able to purchase Xiaomi products directly from China.

Xiaomi Official Store Global launches on 21 May! All products sold by the Xiaomi-affiliated cross-border store on Shopee Malaysia are shipped from China with official quality certification.

While it might carry the official seal of Xiaomi Malaysia who also guaranteed the store’s international shipping service, products that are purchased through this store are not subjected to the company’s warranty policy though. Even though they can still be serviced at Mi Service Centers in Malaysia, they are tied to Xiaomi China’s warranty instead.

Additionally, customers need to bear any import taxes, custom duties, and other related fees that might be imposed on their products when they are shipped to Malaysia. Furthermore, these products might feature documentation, manual, and user interface that are specific to China.

As interesting as this news might be, products that have been listed on the store until 10:30 AM today are still those that are already officially available in Malaysia though. Guess you still have to wait a little bit further to see if there are any China-exclusive Xiaomi products that will be made available in the store.
