Are we all in agreement that Ryan Reynolds is the coolest human being on the planet? Reynolds has always been incredibly funny, but over the past five years or so he’s become a marketing genius and the best troll on the internet. Reynolds voices the iconic character Pikachu in the Pokemon Detective Pikachu film that’s releasing in theatres later today. In a shocking turn of events, the actor leaked the entire Pokemon Detective Pikachu film online earlier this morning.

But of course, anyone who’s familiar with Ryan Reynolds and his ridiculously awesome nonsense was already anticipating a troll video as we clicked the link. The man famous for playing Deadpool did not disappoint. The clip opens with the Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures logo. Then we get a scene from Detective Pikachu that very well could’ve been the actual opening scene of the movie. And then… Pikachu starts dancing and dancing and dancing for the next 1 hour and 40 minutes.
Of course, the majority of the internet ate it up. One YouTube commenter by the name of Cybernet Marionette dropped this gem in the comment section:
“A bold and unconventional direction, but I think Ryan pulled it off well. Gripping stoyline, breathtaking visuals, a killer soundtrack, and action that doesn’t overstay its welcome and feels bloated. Cinematography was a little lacking, but overall I think this was a great film.”

But nothing is funnier than the 9.8k dislikes this video received. I can’t help but smile when I think of all the angry pirates who clicked on the video excitedly only to realised they’ve been rickrolled. The world doesn’t deserve Ryan Reynolds.
