iPhone X Might Be In Production Again, Due To Weak iPhone XS Series Sales

A rather interesting report has emerged recently which stated that Apple might have kick-started the production of iPhone X once again. In case you not aware of it, the phone was no longer on sale through Apple’s official website when it launched the iPhone XR although consumers in Malaysia still able to obtain it from retailers.

According to Wall Street Journal who spoke to sources within Apple’s supply chain, the decision to resume the production of iPhone X is apparently because of the commitment that the company have towards the OLED panels that it has ordered from Samsung. As expected, these panels were originally for iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.

However, the production of these two phones has been reduced which naturally has led to excess OLED panels. Given that iPhone X is still in demand, it is a rather sound decision by Apple although this is apparently not the first time that the company has brought back discontinued product into life again.

At this moment, the iPhone X is currently being sold by Authorized Apple Resellers at RM 4299 for the 64GB version and RM 4999 for the 256GB version. Given the report from WSJ, don’t expect the phone to vanish from the market anytime soon.
