Intel’s upcoming, highly anticipated processor, the Core i7-8086K will be available for pre-order starting 8 June 2018. The information was mentioned by “Gibbo” from OverclockersUK forum, who not only mentioned the pre-order date, but also the tentative pricing for the Core i7-8086K CPU.
According to Gibbo, the Core i7-8086K “shall be under £400 (around RM2,114).” For those who may remember, we’ve posted an article recently mentioning the possible launch date for the Core i7-8086K Anniversary Edition processor. It seems that this may indeed be the case, given the new information by OverclockersUK’s Gibbo.
In addition, Gibbo also mentioned that the Intel special edition processor will also be offered in pre-binned or de-lidded variants. This, of course, means that hardcore PC enthusiasts will find it easier to install a custom cooling solution onto the processor for better cooling efficiency. Those aside, it remains to be seen whether the Core i7-8086K will indeed come with the alleged 5GHz frequency speed out of the box – as rumoured by folks at VideoCardz.
The chances of any local retailers here in Malaysia opening pre-orders for the Core i7-8086K on 8 June is, unfortunately, rather slim. In addition, consumers should also expect the processor to be priced ridiculously high in our shores. Regardless, we recommend our dear readers to take this, along with other rumours regarding the Core i7-8086K processor with a grain of salt, as always.
