Huawei’s mid-range Huawei Y7 Prime has just gotten a whole lot more affordable. The device originally retails at RM999, but if you sign up for a contract with Digi Postpaid 78 plan, you can get it for free. This is a partnership between Huawei and Digi to offer Malaysians an “irresistible year-end deal”.

“The HUAWEI Y7 Prime has been well received by Malaysians since its launch in July this year. We are encouraged by the strong support given by Malaysians and collaborated with Digi to give back to consumers through the fantastic year-end deal. We hope that promotions such as this will allow us to reach out to more audience segments. This is in line with HUAWEI’s mission to expand the mid-range consumer smartphones segment by making our products more accessible to everyone.” — Matthew Ng, Deputy Country Director, HUAWEI Malaysia Device Business Department.

The Huawei Y7 Prime is a mid-range smartphone that is powered by a Snapdragon 435 processor. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage on board, that is expandable up to 128GB via its microSD card slot. It may be a mid-range smartphone, but the Y7 Prime has a solid full metal build with a “sandblasted” fimish, for a premium touch and feel. Other specs include 4000mAh battery, 12MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, 2.5D 5.5” HD display, dual-SIM support, and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with EMUI 5.1 UX.

As for Digi’s postpaid plan, Digi Postpaid 78 comes with unlimited calls to all networks, as well as a total of 12GB monthly internet – 6GB all-day and 6GB weekend internet.

Sadly though, at the time of writing, the deal is not available from Digi’s online store, so if you are interested to get your hands on the Huawei Y7 Prime, visit a Digi store near you.
