It’s almost Halloween again, and Niantic is celebrating this year’s event with Ghastly, Drowsee, Cubone, and brand new Ghost-type Pokémon on Pokémon Go. Originally discovered in the Hoenn region, these new Pokémon will make their first-ever appearance in the game starting from 12:00pm PDT on 20 October 2017; that’s 3am on 21 October 2017 for us Malaysians. In addition to that, for a limited time, Pokémon will also introduce special Pikachu in costume, new costume for your avatar, double candy, and special sale in the in-game shop.
This year’s Halloween event on Pokémon Go will run from 21 October till 4am on 3 November 2017. During this period, you will see special Pikachu in the wild in an all-new costume; you can celebrate the event together with Pikachu with special Mimikyu’s Disguise Hat for your avatar. On top of the usual Dark-type and Ghost-type Pokémon such as Cubone, Misdreavus, Houndoom, and Golbat, there will also be brand new spooky Pokémon such as Sableye, Banette, and many more.
Niantic is also offering double the amount of candies you get in the game. Get twice the Candy rewards from catching, hatching, and transferring; your buddy Pokémon will find Candy twice as fast during the event. Finally, Niantic will be introducing special boxes in the in-game box, featuring items such as Raid Passes and Super Incubators that made its debut in the Equinox event just last month.
