Just as AMD Ryzen Threadripper CPUs starting to make their ways to retailers throughout the world, plenty of manufacturers have also announced products that might help users take full advantage of the ultra-enthusiast processors. This include G.SKILL who has unveiled new DDR4 memory kits that are designed to go together with Threadripper.
While the Flare X memory series is not new to the market as it was originally introduced earlier this year during the release of AMD Ryzen 7 processors, the four new kits allow the series to cater to the needs of Threadripper users. Thanks to their high frequency options which can go as high as 3600MHz, the G.SKILL Flare X for Threadripper kits can also be obtained with capacities of up to 128GB.
What made this fact rather quite interesting is that the 128GB kit comes with eight memory modules which is the maximum amount of memory slots that an AMD X399-based motherboards can have. Here is the summary of their specifications:
