While liquid cooled is getting more common in high-performance PC, such cooling system is usually applied to processors and graphics cards. Interestingly, FSP has managed to implement it on a power supply unit (PSU) which made us rather curious.

Conceived with the help of Bitspower, FSP guaranteed that its new Hydro PTM+ PSU has meet all the necessary security and safety standard in order to make sure that consumers are able to utilize the new PSU in their system. The PSU is also apparently quite efficient since it has certified as a 80 Plus Platinum PSU.

FSP also stated that once the liquid cooling system is enabled, it will increase the power rating on Hydro PTM+ from 1200W to 1400W. Additionally, it also able to deliver 600W when it is running on silent mode in which its cooling fan would remain deactivated.

Given that the Hydro PTM+ will only be launched at the upcoming Computex 2017 in Taipei, information regarding the PSU’s price and release date are still under wraps at the moment. Nevertheless, we don’t expect its price tag to be easy on the wallet though given its high power rating and liquid cooled nature.
