Google Flights is now available in Malaysia. The service, which was launched five years ago, allows users to quickly search for destinations and book airline tickets. It also employs an algorithm that allows users to plan holidays based on user interests like culture, wildlife, or food.
Users will be able to sort through destinations based on their budget, duration of stay, number of stops, airlines, or just departure times; while the more adventurous can simply choose a location listed on the world map. The interface is quintessentially Google, and is easy enough to navigate.
Information for each destination is displayed in the usual Google index card, and users will be presented with a sortable list of flights and hotels available. Once a travel plan has been figured out, users are given a link to book their tickets with the chosen airline; the same happens when choosing a hotel.
Interestingly, Google Flights does more than provide depature and travel time information for flights. It also lists the type of aircraft used, the amount of legroom provided, and provides a warning for flights that are often delayed. This is extremely important information for having an enjoyable trip.
