Logitech Introduces G610 Orion Brown in Malaysia, Features Cherry MX Switches for RM599

Logitech has introduced a new gaming keyboard in Malaysia under its G branding, the G610 Orion Brown. Featuring genuine Cherry MX Brown switches, this is one of the few gaming keyboards from Logitech – that are available in Malaysia – that’s equipped with such switches.

This latest keyboard is quite a change for Logitech; the company’s recent keyboards were mostly equipped with its own Romer G switches, such as the G310 Atlas Dawn. Logitech did mention that Cherry MX switches are “the industry standard in mechanical keyboards,” which somewhat explains why the G610 isn’t equipped with Romer G switches instead.

Although the G610 Orion Brown only has white LED backlighting, the brightness of each key can be customised with the Logitech Gaming Software. Other than that, the switches are rated for over 50 million keystrokes, and the G610 also features a fingerprint-masking matte texture and a braided cable.

Interestingly enough, Logitech also announced another variant of the G610 – aptly named Orion Red – with Cherry MX Red switches. Unfortunately, it appears this keyboard will not be available in Malaysia. At least, at the time of this writing.

The Logitech G610 Orion Brown will be available in Malaysia next month in April 2016. As for retail price, the keyboard is set to go for RM599. It remains to be seen if Logitech will bring in the G610 Orion Red to Malaysia as well. More information on this keyboard can be found on its official product page.
