Hideo Kojima Reveals His Latest Project: A Youtube Channel

Hideo Kojima is quickly getting back into the swing of things after leaving Konami. His current world tour has ended up including a stop at the Youtube Space in Tokyo to shoot the first video for Kojima Production’s new Youtube channel. The video itself doesn’t reveal anything new about the studio’s next project, but it does spend 45 minutes talking about movies.

The channel looks to be a revival of the old Kojima Station broadcasts that the producer used to do while he was back at Konami. We expect that he will continue to share behind the scenes insights once the studios actually have something to share; and at the moment it looks like Kojima is just getting the ball rolling on the show.

Kojima spends the entirety of his first episode listing his top ten movies of 2015; a year where he apparently watched approximately 90 films. Unsurprisingly, the video game maker lists Mad Mad: Fury Road as his favourite movie of the year; although there are some other interesting selections too. It is a little difficult to picture the older Japanese man enjoying Straight Outta Compton, but he apparently liked it very much.

Unfortunately, the Kojima Productions’ first video is completely in Japanese and the English subtitles only appear in the first four minutes. The studio is asking the community for help with translations, and it should be updated within a couple of weeks.
