ASRock’s 200-series FATAL1TY Z270 K6 motherboard has been spotted and pictured in detail. The motherboard is, of course, made to cater for Intel’s upcoming Kaby Lake processors that are using the LGA1151 CPU socket. For readers who may not know: ASRock’s FATAL1TY series are mostly made up of the company’s top of the line ‘Z’ motherboards.
Design-wise, it seems that ASRock has opted for a dated red and black colour scheme for the FATAL1TY Z270 K6 motherboard. That aside, it features an aluminium heatsink coupled with heatpipes to help cool the VRMs. In addition, there is also an 8-pin CPU power connector along with a 24-pin ATX power connector to power the motherboard itself.
When it comes to connectivity, the leaked images show that the FATAL1TY Z270 K6 motherboard comes with four DDR4 RAM slots, which are said to support native DDR4 RAM frequencies of 2400MHz. Of course, RAM speeds will be able to go way higher if they are overclocked. Meanwhile, the motherboard is fitted with three PCIe 3.0 x16, two PCIe 3.0 x1, and two M.2 slots as well.
I/O ports on the ASRock FATAL1TY Z270 K6 motherboard include dual Gigabit ethernet ports; two USB 3.1 ports (Type-A and Type-C); one legacy PS/2 port; four USB 3.0 ports; along with one HDMI 2.0, DVI-D, and VGA ports each. Storage solutions come in the form of eight SATA III 6GBps ports.
Of course, this being a leak means that there are not information regarding price and date of availability. We’ll just have to wait for ASRock to officially announce the FATAL1TY Z270 K6 motherboard to know.
