Lenovo Launches Y710 Cube with GTX 1070 in Malaysia for RM6,099

Lenovo has just launched the IdeaCentre Y710 Cube in Malaysia, a compact form factor gaming desktop. Packed with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card, the Y710 Cube is one capable gaming machine with a price to match.

In comparison to a traditional desktop like Lenovo’s IdeaCentre Y900, the Y710 Cube is noticeably more compact; it also sports a more aggressive design language, which is typical of a gaming machine. Other than that, there’s also a handle on top of the Y710 for easy transportation.

In terms of specification, the Y710 Cube is definitely a capable machine, although there are several odd hardware choices. This compact desktop features an Intel Core i7-6700 processor paired with 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card, a 2TB 7200RPM SATA HDD, as well as a three-year on-site warranty service. At a glance, the inclusion of only 8GB of RAM may prove to be insufficient for power users, not to mention the absence of an SSD drive.

That being said, Lenovo mentioned that other models of the Y710 Cube will be brought into Malaysia sometime in the first quarter of 2017. These include a variant with a GTX 1050 Ti graphics card as well as a GTX 1070 model with a 256GB SSD.

At today’s launch event, Lenovo also announced that it will be holding a League of Legends tournament in collaboration with Intel and Garena. Dubbed “League of Champions,” more information can be found on Lenovo’s Facebook page. Interestingly, Lenovo is also partnering with Microsoft to be platinum sponsors of ESL One Genting.

If your interest is piqued, the Lenovo IdeaCentre Y710 Cube is now available for purchase in Malaysia for RM6,099. Those who are looking to get a compact gaming desktop should give the Y710 a consideration or two.
