Biostar has just unveiled the Racing P1 mini PC that runs on an Atom processor. The Racing P1 is small in size and features Biostar’s ‘racing’ colours on its logo with backlit RGB LEDs.
Under the hood, the Biostar Racing P1 runs on a quad-core 1.92GHz Intel Cherry Trail Z8350 processor coupled with 4GB RAM. In terms of storage, the Racing P1 has 64GB of internal storage and it supports microSD card expansion via the microSD card slot located on the front of the device.
Connectivity is always a challenge when it comes to mini PCs, but Biostar has managed to fit all the necessary ports into a rather small body. On the front, you will find one USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port, a microSD card slot, an audio combo jack, and the power button.
Round the back, the Racing P1 has an ethernet port, a HDMI port, four USB 2.0 ports, as well as the DC in jack. Apart from that, the Racing P1 also supports 802.11 Wi-Fi ac as well as Bluetooth v4.0.
Other features incorporated in the Biostar Racing P1 mini PC is that it has a low power consumption of 20 watts. On the bottom, you will find that the PC has VESA mounts, which makes it easier for those who want to mount it onto the back of a TV or on a wall.
The Biostar Racing P1 mini PC is pretty thin at 2.96cm and it’s really light for a PC of its size. The Racing P1 will be available in Q3 this year and it will retail for approximately RM800.
