The Nanyang Dota 2 Championships (NYC) is currently ongoing in Singapore. It is where 10 of the world’s top international Dota 2 teams battle it out over the course of seven days for the most prestigious prize pool South East Asia has ever seen – a minimum amount of USD$200,000 (about RM850,290).
NYC is organised by an e-Sports content producer, KeyTV (ex-LGDTV), which is based in Shanghai, China. 25% from the sales of in-game tickets will also be added to the USD$200,000 prize pool, making it the largest international Dota 2 tournament to be held in South East Asia.
The image above will be the group stage schedule for the first two days. Coming up right after the group stages is the double elimination format to determine the last two teams that will go on to the championship finals.
All ticket holders will be receiving an event lanyard and wristband while VIP and SVIP ticket holders will receive an additional key chain set. SVIP four-day pass ticket holders, on the other hand, will receive extra goodies like a phone casing, autograph of a player of their choice, meet and greet passes as well as VIP lounge dining passes. Other than that, the most luxurious BVIP ticket grants its holders everything mentioned previously with an additional T-shirt, mousepad, jacket, after party ticket and a photo taking session with players
The Nanyang Dota 2 Championships will be held at the Suntec Convention and Event Centre in Marina Bay Sands Hotel. It starts from today to 1 November 2015.
