Seagate announced a new data recovery service for its surveillance range of drives in Malaysia. Called Seagate Rescue, the company’s data recovery service is catered to businesses and companies in Malaysia which rely on surveillance products for content analysis as well as security purposes.
Seagate Rescue aims to protect video surveillance data as it is crucial information to individuals, businesses or organisations who need it. These data can be used to analyse content, keep a shop safe, or even monitor customer behaviour. Therefore, it would be a costly expense to the consumer should the data be tampered with or experience any technical issues.
Previously, it would cost a hefty sum to recover data from a corrupted hard drive, let alone obtain a replacement when the hard drive has failed. Seagate Rescue offers a more affordable data protection solution to its customers, which includes drive replacement as well as data recovery services. It has a high success rate and the recovery process will take roughly two weeks, depending on the type of recovery.
The company’s surveillance-specific drives come in 1TB, 4TB, 5TB and also 6TB configurations. Best of all, Seagate Rescue is activated at the time of purchase and users will be entitled to three years of data recovery service should the drive undergo physical damage, corruption or even accidental deletion.
