Xiaomi to Open Exclusive Service Centre in Plaza Low Yat

Xiaomi has been quiet beyond its weekly flash sales recently, but behind the scenes the company is working on expanding its after-sales services. Several people have spotted that a Xiaomi service centre is set to open in Plaza Low Yat within the heart of Kuala Lumpur to cater for the increasingly large Xiaomi user base in the country.

The service centre, which may not be bestowed with the Mi Home name, will be called Mi Serv. It will also be the first service centre in the country to only service only Xiaomi devices, which is different from the current service centres such as in Amcorp Mall.

On top of that, the Mi Serv centre will also play host to all of Xiaomi’s current smart devices available in the country, from the excellent Mi 3 to the Redmi affordable smartphones. From what we gather, the service centre will also be home to a Mi TV 2, and perhaps even devices that are not available in the country such as the Mi Pad. What is important to note, however, is the fact that Mi Serv will not be offering any products for sale – which is perhaps why it will not be called a Mi Home, which is Xiaomi’s service centre in China that also offers Xiaomi products and accessories for sale.

There’s no word yet on when Mi Serv will be open to the public, but our guess is it will be very soon. From the set of images posted on a closed Facebook group published above, almost everything appears to be in place. In any case, the opening of a centrally-located Xiaomi service centre will definitely be good news for Xiaomi owners in the Klang Valley.
