Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 4 series was just only recently announced last month, and now two of the three variants are now officially in Malaysia. The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 and 10.1 will hit the shelves as early as next week, and will be priced from RM999.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 series are the latest affordable Android tablets from South Korean giants Samsung. Featuring a faux-leather back cover inspired by the Galaxy Note 3, these tablets run on Android 4.4, and are powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processors, 1280 x 800 resolution displays, 1.5GB of RAM with 16GB built-in storage, 3MP rear and 1.3MP front-facing cameras. The Tab 4 7.0 will also support 3G connectivity, while the larger 10.1-inch variant will have LTE Cat 4

In terms of software, the new Galaxy Tab 4 will run on the new TouchWiz UI based on Android 4.4, which promises to be less cluttered from previous iterations. Also pre-installed are the exclusive features such as Group Play, WatchON and Samsung Link.

For the Malaysian market, Samsung Malaysia will be bringing in the 7.0 and 10.1-inch models. Sporting similar hardware as mentioned above, the only differences between the two models (beside screen size) is in battery capacity: the Galaxy Tab 4 .0 will pack a 4000mAh battery while the larger 10.1-inch model will feature a 6800mAh pack. In addition, every purchase of the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 and 10.1 will include a free 16GB microSD card from Samsung Malaysia.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 will be priced at RM999 and will be available at all Samsung Experience Stores from May 26, while the larger 10.1-inch variant will cost RM1499 and will be available in stores one week earlier from May 19. Both models will be available in black or white.
