The sequel to the once-popular mobile game, Temple Run, has just been announced. Temple Run 2 now boasts superior graphics, a new game environment as well as power ups and unlockables while still retaining the original game’s easy mechanics. According to Kotaku, the app has been downloaded more than 170 million times since its launch in 2011, and it looks like the successor might prove to be just as big a hit.
Currently the game is only available for download via the iTunes App Store in New Zealand, although it will soon hit North American App Stores over the next few hours, and worldwide soon after that. So far the developers have not spoken of an Android version of the game.
