As was reported last night, it appears Sony Malaysia have quietly brought in the Xperia TX and Xperia V to our shores. There is a Sony Mobile fair going on from today until the weekend in Mid Valley Megamall as part of the launch of Sony’s Xperia Tablet, and the some Xperia smartphones were also on display. Among them, surprise, surprise, are the two Xperias that were announced towards the end of last year at IFA in Berlin.

Interestingly, Sony isn’t making a big deal on the Xperia TX and Xperia V, which does not look to have its own product launch and instead piggybacking on the Xperia Tablet’s Malaysian launch tomorrow. We’re not really sure about Sony’s reasoning behind it, especially since the two smartphones are definitely a step in the right direction for the company.
Regardless, both smartphones will be available next week, and pre-orders can be made for them at all Sony Centre outlets as well as the roadshow in East Atrium, Mid Valley Megamall. There are also some gifts for those who pre-order the Xperia V, which includes a limited edition “Skyfall” phone pouch.
On the other hand, the Xperia Tablet had already been announced and available for pre-order last month, and Sony has kept to its word of an early January launch for the tablet. We will be at the media launch for the Xperia Tablet tomorrow, so stay tuned!
