Confused by the headline? We don’t blame you, whenever the word “Android” gets mentioned, Google automatically pops into mind but Android means a lot more than just a mobile operating system by the internet search giant, Android is also a brand that designs and sells watches in the U.S. and the company has recently announced that they will jump into the smartphone bandwagon to make its first smartwatch that runs on Google Android OS.
To be launched in December 2013, Android SmartWatch will be similar to all the smartwatches we’ve been seeing as of late – Pebble, Galaxy Gear or Sony Smartwatch 2, allowing you to have basic control over your smartphone like making/receiving calls, reading notification, toggle music, and while nothing much has been mentioned, it looks like there may be speaker and mic on board as well, according to the screenshot page.
