This particular host city certainly feels like a departure from the company’s standard choice of venue such as New York and London but nevertheless, here we are in Abu Dhabi for the Nokia World 2013. In my own personal opinion, this could be the last Nokia World as we fondly know of since the company’s devices and services business will be changing hands to Microsoft next year if the deal goes through.
It is not known if that is the reason why Nokia is expected to go all guns blazing here at Nokia World Abu Dhabi. We have heard at least six products might be announced here such as the Lumia 1520 6-inch phablet and Lumia 2520 10.1-inch Windows RT tablet together with a number of Asha devices as well as what rumoured to be a NFC-enabled music player called Nokia Guru.
