Intel Haswell-based Chromebooks and Chromeboxes

We all know that Chromebooks together with Chromeboxes as Internet-dependent machines that run on Chrome OS and are usually powered by Samsung Exynos or low-end Intel processors. The only exception to this rather general perception of both devices are the high-end Chromebook Pixel and the Core i5 version of Chromebox.

However, that is about to change soon though as Intel and Google have just jointly announced that Haswell-based Chromebooks and Chromeboxes are coming to the market at the on-going IDF 2013 in San Francisco. Among them are the HP Chromebook 14 and ASUS Chromebox as well as new Chromebooks from Acer and Toshiba. With Haswell, Google stated that the battery life will improve by more than two times of previous generation processors together with improved performance.

These new Haswell Chromebooks and Chromeboxes are scheduled to be released towards the end of the year, during the holiday season of 2013. No pricing have been announced at the moment though.
