The HTC Mini+, a Phone for your Smartphone

HTC Mini Plus and Fetch

Just when you thought that things couldn’t get any weirder than having a HTC Mini phone for your smartphone, HTC announces the HTC Mini+. Like its predecessor that was announced earlier this year, the Mini+ allows you to pair your existing smartphone, you know, that huge device you don’t feel like pulling out of your bag because it’s such a handful, and use it to make and receive calls.

But that’s not all, because it’s a “plus” version, HTC also added some extra features, allowing you to see notifications for text, events and emails, remotely control your smartphone’s camera, a laser pointer, and even act as a TV remote. According to HTC, the Mini+ is designed to work with the HTC One mini, HTC Butterfly S, HTC Desire 200 and HTC Desire 500, but because it has Bluetooth and NFC connectivity on board, it should work any other smartphones out there.

The device was announced at a HTC event at London, whereby the company also unveiled another smartphone accessory you don’t see everyday – Fetch. Fetch is basically a Bluetooth tag that helps you locate your phone. It’s an accessory that you can pair with your smartphone over Bluetooth 4.0 (better power efficiency that can last up to six month in a single charge) and use as a keychain so if you are out of range (15 meters), both the phone and Fetch will ring until you reunite them together. Fetch also has geotag on board so you can find its location remotely, plus it can also double as a camera shutter as well.

Anyone willing to buy these accessories for your HTC smartphone?
