Just moments ago, Maxis has announced that Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC One XL smartphones are now able to utilize its LTE network which the company launched on 1st January 2013. Both smartphones are now officially the first batch of devices that Maxis 4G LTE network will support in 2013.
Judging from the announcement that we received from Maxis, it seems like there is no specific 4G LTE plans since users are able to purchase either of the devices with Maxis standard TalkMore and SurfMore postpaid plans. Additionally, this announcement also marked the addition of Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC One XL to the telco’s postpaid offerings.
While they have yet to appear on Maxis’ website when this article was written, customers are now able to obtain Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC One XL from the telco at Maxis Centres in KLCC and Taman Tun Dr. Ismail. They are priced from RM 1,099 and RM 1,199 respectively – applicable when customers purchase either of the devices with SurfMore75 or TalkMore78 with 3GB Mobile Internet plans.
Meanwhile, there is still no changes to Maxis existing LTE coverage which currently includes Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, Desa Sri Hartama, Bandar Puchong Jaya, Bandar Sunway and Cyberjaya. To learn more about Maxis LTE network, visit www.maxis.com.my/4GLTE.

Patutlah never offer Lumia 920 when it was launched long ago, turns out it was 4G they were waiting for. Anyway, I think 2GB/3GB plan should revise to higher quota, with that speed of streaming “quality” content, I don’t think it should be enough (FOR ME AT LEAST).
For me at least 10GB…
There’s no 4G plan? Doesn’t make sense, right?
3GB for an LTE connection ?
Ouch ! Why so stingy one ???
I can use that up in less than an hour on any cyber cafe in KL without even trying. Not pirating or pr0n mind you, just sites with lots of media particularly video.
Then again, I’m probably not their target market. So carry on Maxis. Lol !!!
Maxis should have at least offered better android smartphone than the HTC One XL. But then again, maybe they are waiting for the Sony Xperia Z, and release that instead as a flagship for their 4G LTE plans.
What about existing users who have got 4G devices, will they be able to access 4G without doing anything??
What is the LTE setting for 920? Default Maxis profile won’t connect at LTE. Only HSPDA.
If add new APN, there is an option for LTE but need the following info:
APN
Username
Password
Proxy address
Proxy port
Network type
Authentication type
Yup, there’s no specific 4G plan according to the announcement that we received from Maxis.
guys,
There’s no coverage in WP areas, like Cheras, Kepong & Selayang according to technician for SurfMore plan. “sorry sir, Cheras, Kepong and Selayang area still awaiting the approval of the tower’s installation from government”.
the surfing speed is like snail
May I know KLCC maxis centre have stock of nokia lumia 920 ?
