It was first shown at CES 2012 by Razer as Project Fiona but the concept gaming device which is renowned for its unique mounted dual-hands controller design is now known as Razer Edge Gaming Tablet and guess what…it will be out in the market soon.
As the image above shows you, the Razer Edge Gaming Tablet can be utilized in four different ways: either as a standard tablet, a laptop through the use of its Keyboard Dock, a huge handheld gaming system with the Game Controller attachment, as a home console when used with its Docking Station. All three attachments don’t come standard with the tablet though and have to be purchased separately.

Running on Windows 8, the Razer Edge is available in two configurations – a base model which is equipped with Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of DDR3 RAM and 64GB solid state drive; as well as the much more beefy Razer Edge Pro which comes with Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB DDR3 RAM and either a 128GB or 256GB solid state drive. Both models also come with a 10.1-inch IPS touch display with a maximum resolution of 1366×768 and a 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M LE GPU.
How about the price then? The base model of Razer Edge is priced at RM 3,044 (USD 999) while the Razer Edge Pro’s price tag is set at RM 3,956 (USD 1,299.99). The tablet is scheduled to be released into the market in the first quarter of 2013 although it is hard to say whether it will be available in Malaysia or else.
