Our friends at SoyaCincau brought to our attention that the confirmed local pricing for the Malaysia unit of the eagerly, eagerly anticipated LG Nexus 4 by Google has been leaked – on our very own forums, no less. A reputable seller in the Trade Zone subforum has revealed that the local pricing for the Nexus 4 16GB will be RM1799, and is accepting bookings right now. The same seller – who is a senior member – also states that there will be 2 years of warranty by LG Malaysia. As of 3.30pm there has already been more than 80 bookings for the device, confirming the deep interest for Google’s latest flagship smartphone here.
In addition, there has been whispers in the Google Nexus 4 thread of our forums that not only will the device be coming in very soon, it appears DiGi has managed quite a scoop by grabbing exclusive rights to the device to be included into its smart plans.
If these are true, LG Malaysia may have been hinting about it since last week in its Facebook page, which we mentioned yesterday. The image above, taken from the LG Malaysia Fan Club Facebook page (which seems to be the official channel for some reason), clearly implies that we may see the Nexus 4 by Christmas.
Right now, nothing is confirmed, so do take these with a pinch of salt. However we are in the midst of confirming the rumours at the moment, and we will update this post as and when we hear more.

Disappointment for the price however was expected to market it at such price range.
Well Done!! almost RM800 expensive than US price!! LG nexus sure got many sales here!!
Only 16GB? how bout 8GB & 32GB?
Boo on the pricing!
rm1799 is a fair price laa. good luck LG.
1799 is fair price? how about no?
I was looking forward to purchasing one because of the great price. I didnt even care if the device had no 4g or expandable memory. How does LG manages to screw up the only thing that will make me buy their products.
If this is their stance then good luck. i’ll be better off buying an iphone5 just to spite them. Rest assured i will post something on their FB or whatever just to rub the salt in their wound. Its totally ridicilous how they treat their pontential customer. If this was in the dark ages of internet i would totally understand their approach. are we the next customer supposed to pay for USA’s cheap rate? I do hope google can make their own phone next time instead of passing it to scalping companies.
Seriously, WTF is going on with LG administration? And what is Google’s stance on this pricing?
At 1799 i have a much better choice at sony, htc, motorola, huawei, meizu, oppo, or even samseng (brrrrrrr-**** hate samseng but to spite LG for this **** i will take it up the duff).
too expensive
RM1799..!! If 1599, still can consider.. Why LG??
bro .. u dunno anything abt phone i guess
lets see who will win, a Samsung S3 or LG Nexus 4.. my money goes to Samsung..
Screw LG, man! what a ridiculous price! I’ve been waiting for this phone for a long time but disappointed with the jacked-up price..
I’ll buy an iPhone just to shove it up the LG exec’s a$$..
1799 for the phone…I’ll rather wait till someone want to sell the phone for 799.
Not worth it buy it now. Maybe just add 400, I could get Note II instead.
Good luck with your sales, LG…
In US doller only $349..
Comng malaysia MYR 1799??so f**k that price…u can go dead only..i juz add MYR200 can buy note ll..so liooo…..so**i ~~
care to explain why i dunno anything about phone bro?
i’m pissed off because the price is way too much. thats like a 100% rise compared to what the USA is getting it for.
why cant there be more fairly priced. i accept at 1299 but at 1799 its highway robbery. nexus 4 doesnt even have 4G. at 1799 + abit more i can get an iPhone 5.
Nexus 4 is a phone that Google and LG intends to use to wipe the smirk off apple’s face. By agreeing with 1799 it basically means that you would like to fund the USA users.
and the USA’s price is not even on contract. its for a fully unlocked phone.
LG is nearing death. they have been posting losses and what do they do to their prospective buyer? they try to squeeze us for more money.
seriously overpriced…
i bought mine for RM1360 plus shipping from Canada… thats about RM500 more!!!
when i first heard abt nexus 4, i was impressed with the spec, reviews and price. And I thot this is THE iphone killer and eagerly to buy one to experienced it. Now i guess, LG probably just ‘killed’ it.
Terrible pricing. I bought mine from US for RM1,250 for 16gb including the official bumper case! Talk about value…
I have waiting for this phone almost 4 month!!! But the price is too high…
I can buy Google Samsung Nexus 2 unit for the price of 1 Unit Google LG Nexus 4.
Sad but true.. LG Kill the phone.
what a total rip off !! 1299 all the way to 1799 you must be…CRAZY !!! YES crazy
say real~~~if its coming with Sony / Samsung / Asus with 4GLTE(even msia cant use) and better camera….rm1799 i will buy it for no any reason~
but with LG …..if you try before they customer service~~you will understand what i scare~and somemore the price over almost double up
just make me feel want to wait for the next nexus~that all`~
This pricing is definitely sucks! Thumb down to you, LG.
There are enough suckers who are willing to book at that price. If no buyers then will force LG to reduce price. It’s a consumer market. No SD, small storage, or removable battery! Should be worth rm 1k.
very eager to buy this phone initially, but am really disappointed with the price….wish i could buy in from the US, wont mind paying some $$ to bypass the procedures
I used to own an LG phone. It went kaput during an update. Discovered LG has no support on weekends.
