The Samsung Galaxy Note has got to be one of the luckiest Android devices that are available out there, shipped with the boring old Android Gingerbread on board, it received the Ice Cream Sandwich update not too long after the launch and soon, it will be blessed with Jelly Bean and a whole host of new features such as Multi Window and many more.
The JB update for the original Galaxy Note is due later this year or early next year but you don’t have to wait so long for it, a test firmware was recently leaked with the build number N7000XXLSA and is available for download . If you’re not brave enough to install the pre-release version that came straight from Samsung’s R&D lab that may still be buggy, check out what you can look forward to in the break below but before that, if you’re an owner of the original Galaxy Note, are you beginning to feel that you’re blessed with one of the luckiest Android devices out there?

- Android 4.1.2 – Build JZO54K
- Buttery Smooth Performance & Great Stability (Thanks to Project Butter)
- Multi-View (Multi Windows Multitasking, same as in Note II)
- Multi-View can also be disabled
- Page Buddy
- Notification Panel can now be customized
- New Additions in Notification Panel
- Smart Rotation (Screen Display adjusts to your angle of sightings)
- Continues Input in Samsung Keyboard (Like Swipe or Android 4.2 Keyboard)
- Samsung’s Cloud services
- Direct Call, Smart Stay and Pop-up Play Features
- New Widgets From the Galaxy S III
- 2 Home screen modes
- New Notifications bar
- Google Now
Unfortunately though, while the update seems amazing, not all the S Pen features are implemented yet so we don’t know what to expect. Fingers crossed that it will at least come with the free hand selection made possible by pressing the button on Samsung’s very own stylus.
